Luscious Cherry Crisp Recipe

Everyone has tried apple crisp, so why not branch out and try cherry crisp?

  • 8 C. fresh or frozen cherries, drained
  • 1/2 C. flour for fruit plus 3/4 C. flour for topping
  • 2 C. rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 C. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 C. butter

Fill a 9"x13" pan with cherries which have been tossed with the 1/2 cup flour.  Mix the rest of the dry ingredients and moisten with melted butter until mixture forms crumbs.  Sprinkle over fruit.  Bake 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees.  Remove from oven and let set for 30 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream.
