  • 6 eggs
  • Tartar cream- ¼ teaspoon
  • Granulated sugar- 1 ½ cups
  • Vanilla extract- 1 tsp
  • Fresh lemon juice- ¾ cup
  • Grated lemon peel- 2 tbsp
  • Whipped cream- 2 cups

Get a large bowl and put the egg whites into it. Let it stand for 20 minutes. Add tartar cream and vanilla extract and beat it slowly for 10 minutes. Gradually add 2 tbsps of sugar at a time till you have used up one cup of sugar.

Beat the batter on medium speed until the sugar is melted and the mixture develops a soft and glowing texture with frothy peaks. Spread the mixture on a 13x9 baking plate and bake at medium-high heat for one hour. Prepare the lemon mixture in a double boiler with lemon peel, juice, and egg yolks. Cover the whipped cream with lemon mixture and refrigerate.
