Mac and Cheese

Mac and cheese very different from ones offered today.

Ingredients

  • Large elbow macaroni
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • Grated mild longhorn style cheese

Directions

Cook elbow macaroni with salt for about ten minutes, until tender. Drain the macaroni.

Alternate in baking dish the macaroni and grated cheese with the last layer being cheese. Heat in microwave until the top layer of cheese has melted. This is very good and can be frozen and heated for later meals.

  • This is so simple to make and, better yet, isn't cluttered with too many tastes -- just the yummy pasta and REAL cheese. It's my favorite! Try it with whole wheat pasta and undercook it enough to make it chewier -- even better.
