  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 8 oz. tomato sauce
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 4-6 slices cheese
  • 1 box elbow macaroni noodles
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • salt and pepper

Heat the oven to 350 degrees. In a skillet, brown the ground beef, onion, salt, pepper, and garlic salt. Cook the macaroni until tender according to package directions. Drain and mix sour cream and noodles together.

Once the noodles are coated with sour cream, combine the beef with the tomato sauce. Place 1/2 mixture in an 8 x 10 dish. Add a layer of the noodle mixture and top with 2 slices of cheese. Repeat once more, topping the casserole with the remaining cheese slices.

Bake for 20 minutes.
