  • 12 slices of bread
  • 12 slices of ham
  • ¼ cup of all purpose flour
  • 2 cups of milk
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 cups grated cheese
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 6 fried eggs

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees to start. Arrange 6 slices of bread on a baking sheet and layer two slices of ham on each slice of bread. Sprinkle each with cheese and put the remaining 6 slices of bread on top. In a saucepan, melt the butter and stir in flour, cooking for 4 minutes. Next, whisk in the milk and stir until it is thick. Then add 1 cup of grated cheese and your desired amount of salt and pepper. Pour this mixture over the sandwiches and add a sprinkle of the remaining cheese. Bake for about 8 minutes in the oven while frying the eggs sunny-side up on the stove. When the sandwiches are golden brown, pull them out of the oven and add a fried egg to each.
