Maple Pecan Fudge
- 3 C. white sugar
- 1 1/2 sticks butter
- 3 C. Marshmallow creme
- 1 5 oz. can evaporated milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 C. chopped pecans
- 1 12 oz. bag white chocolate chips
- 2 heaping tsp. Maplene flavoring
- 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
In a heavy 4 qt. pan, add sugar, butter, marshmallow creme, evaporated milk and salt, and heat over very low heat. This burns easily. Stir frequently. Bring to boil and cook until, when dropped in water makes a firm ball. (I do the old fashioned way.) Then add pecans, white chocolate chips and flavorings. Stir and mix well.Pour into prepared 11X7 pan and refrigerate until firm.
Tip: To prepare pan, take 2 pieces of Saran Wrap, long enough to cover bottom and sides of pan, and enough to cover top. Put one in length ways and the other in width ways. Push into corners and pour in fudge, then fold Saran Wrap over the top.
