Marinated Fish

This is a relatively easy way to marinate fish. Just make sure to serve it cold, preferably with salad or mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs. filet fish
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 C. tomato juiced, mixed with 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 Tbs. flour
  • 1 C. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbs. ketchup
  • 1 C. oil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 C. water
  • 1 tsp. accent

Directions

Salt the fish, add accent and let stand for 1 or 2 hours. Then flour and fry the fish in the oil until brown. Boil the tomato juice, water, minced garlic, vinegar, bay leaf, ketchup and flour, diluted in a little water for 20 minutes. Then add the fish and cook over low flame for 15 or 20 minutes.
