Crockpots do not always have to be used to cook things for a certain amount of time. Instead use the crockpot to marinate pork chops overnight before firing them up on the grill.

  • 2 pork chops
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • ½ tsp. oregano
  • 1/3 C. olive oil
  • ¼ C. lemon juice
  • ¼ C. soy sauce
  • 1 Tbs. brown sugar
  • Ground black pepper

Place the pork chops in the crock pot. In a medium bowl, mix together the onion powder, oregano, olive oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, and pepper to taste until well blended. Pour over the pork chops. Place lid on top and let pork chops marinate overnight. Do not turn on heat, leave the crock pot off. When ready to cook, remove the pork chops and place onto grill over a medium heat. Grill one side for 10 minutes then flip and repeat for other side. Can grill vegetables on the grill with pork chops or just boil the vegetables as a side dish.
