Marshmallow Brownie Bars

Chewy brownie bars with a soft and nutty surprise on top. Perfect with a mug of hot chocolate after a day on the toboggan slopes.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. fudge brownie mix
  • 2 C. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 Tbs. butter
  • 1 can Regular or Low Fat Eagle Brand
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 C. miniature marshmallows
  • 3/4 C. peanuts, coarsely chopped
  • 1 square semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 tsp. butter

Directions

Prepare brownie mix according to pkg. directions. Carefully spread into lightly greased 13x9-inch baking pan. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 25 minutes. Melt chocolate chips, 2 Tbs. butter, Eagle Brand, and vanilla in heavy saucepan. Immediately spread chocolate mixture over hot brownie layer. Top with marshmallows and peanuts; press down firmly. Cool. Melt chocolate square with 1 tsp. butter. Drizzle over all. Cut into bars. Store covered at room temperature.

Yield: 36 bars
