Marshmallow Fondant can be intimidating, however this recipe is easy to make, very delicious and easy to work with! Marshmallow fondant is very sweet when compared to normal fondant. It can be used to decorate cakes or to make candy. The recipe is fun to make and is family approved!

  • 1 package miniature marshmallow
  • 2 pounds powdered sugar, divided
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup butter

In a large bowl, melt the marshmellows in the microwave for one minute. Add water to the marshmallow and mix untill smooth. Add half of the sugar gradually to the marshmallows until the mixture becomes a dough. Knead the dough with buttered hands since it tends to be sticky. Continue kneading the dough, while sprinkling some of the reserved sugar until the dough is smooth and non-sticky. Make small balls out of the fondant and refrigerate in a plastic bag for 12 hours. Let the fondant settle in room temperature and sprinkle the remaining sugar before using.
