  • ¼ cup corn syrup
  • 2 large russet potatoes
  • Peanut oil
  • 1 ½ cups of water
  • ½ teaspoon beef bouillon powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt

First, peel your potatoes and slice them into matchsticks. Pour the corn syrup and water in a bowl and whisk until the syrup dissolves. Place the potatoes in the water and marinade in the refrigerator for 30 to 40 minutes.

Heat about 2 inches of oil to 375 degrees. Drain the potatoes and pat dry. Pour the potatoes into the deep fryer and fry for about 6-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels and season with the bouillon and salt. Serve immediately and enjoy.
