There is no better comfort food than meatloaf, so why not grab your crock pot and make a batch of these sandwiches? Make them your own and add your favorite sandwich toppings.

  • 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 C. milk
  • 1/4 tsp. dried sage leaves
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 3 slices bread, torn into pieces
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 C. ketchup
  • 6 leaves lettuce of choice
  • 6 sandwich buns

Line the inside of your crock pot with foil and spray with cooking spray. In a large bowl, mix together beef, milk, sage, salt, mustard, pepper, garlic, egg, bread, and onions. Shape into a loaf and place in the center of the foil-lined crock pot. Spread the top with ketchup. Cover and cook on a low heat setting for four hours. Transfer to a serving plate and let stand for five minutes. Cut six thick slices and place one slice on each sandwich bun. Top the meatloaf with lettuce and any other desired condiments.
