  • 1 package string mozzarella cheese
  • 1 C. panko bread crumbs
  • 1 C. Italian bread crumbs
  • 1 C. flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 T. milk
  • 2 T. butter
  • Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Cut your string cheese in half and set aside. Add the panko and Italian bread crumbs to a bowl and toss together. In a second bowl, whisk the eggs and milk. Add flour to a third bowl. Roll each cheese stick in the flour, then dip into the eggs, then coat with the bread crumbs. Lay out cheese sticks on a baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes. Melt butter in a saucepan and drizzle it over the cheese sticks. Bake for 10 minutes and serve with sauce.
