Memmie's Chili Sauce

This enormous recipe fills up to 11 pint jars, so you can give it as a gift or just have it on hand for whenever you need it. 6 red peppers and mustard seed give it a nice kick.

Ingredients

  • 30 tomatoes
  • 6 onions
  • 6 red peppers
  • 6 Tbs. sugar
  • 3 Tbs. salt
  • 4 C. apple cider vinegar
  • 1 Tbs. celery seed
  • 1 Tbs. mustard seed

Directions

Grind peppers, squeeze tomatoes and use potato masher. Put onions cut up in Osterizer with vinegar. Cook and stir occasionally for about two hours until pulpy. Put in jars and then hot water bath for about 25 minutes.

Yield: 9-11 pint jars
