  • 1.5 pounds of ground sirloin
  • 1 pound pork sausage
  • 1 medium yellow onion
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup of Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • For the Glaze:
  • 1/2 cup of ketchup
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Dash of cayenne pepper

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Finely chop the yellow onion, and place it into a large mixing bowl. Add the ground sirloin and pork sausage, kneading the mixture together. Next, mix in the eggs, and slowly add in the breadcrumbs. Finally, pour all of the spices, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce and knead to combine all of the ingredients.

Take a 9 by 13 baking dish and form the meat into a 10 to 12 inch loaf. In a small bowl, combine the honey, ketchup, barbecue sauce, and cayenne pepper. Pour the glaze over the meatloaf and make sure to cover completely by using a pastry brush to spread the glaze to every corner.

Bake in the over for 90 minutes and then check with a meat thermometer that it has reached an internal temperature of 160 degrees. Allow to cool for 15 minutes and enjoy!
