Ingredients
- 1 whole wheat pita, split in half horizontally
- cooking spray
- 1/2 C. shredded fat-free sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/4 med. green bell pepper, cut into thin strips
- 1/4 med. red bell pepper, cut into thin strips
- 1 C. tomato salsa, preferably homemade
Directions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
Lightly coat pita halves with cooking spray and place on a nonstick cookie sheet. Cover each pita half with half of the cheese. Top each with half of the salsa and half of the pepper strips. Sprinkle each with remaining cheese. Lightly coat pizzas with cooking spray. Bake until cheese melts, about 8 minutes.
