This is the easy way of making this delicious tuna casserole. It tastes just as good as it would if it was cooked in the oven or stove top.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans tuna in water (drained)
  • 1 C. cheese, grated
  • Mushroom soup
  • 1/2 can milk or water
  • Potato chips
  • 10" x 3" casserole dish (mine is round)

Directions

Spread a thin layer of chips in a 10-inch round casserole dish. Sprinkle 1/2 can of tuna over it. Mix mushroom soup with milk or water. Pour 1/4 of the mushroom soup over top of tuna. Top with 1/4 C. of cheese. Repeat this for 3 more layers.

Put in microwave on high until the mushroom soup is bubbly and the cheese is melting.

Your comment about how many minutes for a starter. Did you not read the directions.
It is a microwave recipe and microwaves have different wattage. High on one may be a medium setting on a high wattage microwave and therefore would dry out the casserole/or be crisp. I have two of them and they both cook differently.
The directions said: On HIGH setting until the mushroom soup is bubbly and cheese is melted. Just keep an eye on it.
