This spaghetti looks fancy, but have no fear because it’s basically all the ingredients that are already in your favorite jarred spaghetti sauce! Tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, and Italian sausage create a flavor party!

  • 2 cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 package spaghetti
  • ½ pound Italian sausage
  • 1 pint sliced porcini mushrooms
  • ½ onion, grated
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon thyme
  • ½ teaspoon basil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Prepare the spaghetti according to package instructions. Remove the sausage from casings and brown in a greased skillet until fully cooked, about 10-13 minutes over medium heat. In a separate skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat and saute the garlic and onion. Add in the mushrooms and continue cooking until they are soft (about 4-5 minutes). Pour in the cans of tomatoes and the spices. Pour back in the sausage and cook for about 8-10 minutes covers. Pour your sauce over your spaghetti and serve!
