This Ice Cream is the perfect mixture of mint, chocolate and ice cream. It is simple to make. Once you take a bit of this ice cream you will want more.

  • 1 ½ cups of nonfat milk
  • 1 ½ cups of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon mint extract
  • 3 drops green food coloring
  • 1 cup of shredded semisweet chocolate

In a large bowl, add the milk, food coloring, cream, salt, sugar, vanilla, and peppermint and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions.
After the ice cream has been freezing for 10 minutes, add the shredded chocolate.
About 30 minutes later, after the ice cream has thickened, spoon the ice cream into a container and freeze for 2 hours.
