  • 2 c. of flour
  • 3 tsp of cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp of food color
  • 1 tbsp fo peppermint powder
  • 1 package cream cheese
  • 1 tsp of vanilla
  • 1 c. of buttermilk
  • 1 c. of sugar
  • 0.2 c. of water
  • 0.2 tsp of cream of tartar
  • 3 eggs whites

In a medium bowl, whisk filling mix with milk and cocoa powder. In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. With mixer on low buttermilk and vanilla. Divide batter between pans and Refrigerate for 1 hour. For another layer, bring sugar to boil. Combine cream of tartar and cream cheese, peppermint powder and food color in large bowl; beat with a mixer at high speed until foamy. Gradually pour the hot sugar syrup into the cream cheese white mixture, beating first at medium speed and then at high speed. Beat in vanilla extract, and spread the frosting on the cake. Alternate layers when transferring to a serving cups.
