Iced tea is a Southern staple. Adding a bit of mint and lemon will add a crisp, cool and fresh taste that is great to cool down with on a hot summer day.

  • 1 liter of cold water, divided
  • 8 black tea bags
  • ½ cup of sugar
  • ½ cup of fresh mint leaves
  • ¼ cup of fresh lemon juice

Begin by boiling half a liter of water, and then add the black tea, sugar, and mint. Cover and allow the mixture to steep for at least 10 minutes. The longer the tea steeps, the stronger the flavor will be. Remove the tea bags and add the additional cold water and let the mixture cool in the fridge. To serve, add ice and an extra sprig of mint to garnish.
