This french silk pie recipe has a wonderful coffee flavor! Something a bit different for your holiday dessert menu!

Ingredients

  • pie shell
  • 1 C. sugar
  • 3/4 C. butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 tsp. instant coffee (dry)
  • 3 oz. unsweetened baking chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 3/4 C. fat-free cholesterol-free egg product
  • 1 1/2 C. whipped cream
  • chocolate curls, if desired

Directions

Prepare pie crust.

In medium bowl, beat sugar and butter with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla, chocolate and instant coffee. Gradually beat in egg product on high speed or until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes). Pour into pie crust. Refrigerate until set, at least 2 hours but no longer than 24 hours.

Spread with whipped cream. Garnish with chocolate curls. Store covered in refrigerator.
