I call this "money casserole" because it's so easy and satisfying, you feel like a million bucks when you're eating it. Perfect for chilly days.

Ingredients

  • 1 chopped onion
  • 3 stalks chopped celery
  • 1 lb. hamburger or ground chuck
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 C. uncooked long-grain rice
  • 2 C. water
  • 1/2 bag frozen onion rings

Directions

Brown hamburger with onion and celery. Drain. Combine meat mixture, soups, rice and water in a 9 or 10-inch casserole dish.  Arrange 8-12 frozen onion rings on top of mixture. Bake, covered at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
