Mounds Candy Bar Brownies

Essentially melting down the candy bars and then baking them turns them into brownies! Who knew?

  • 2 Mounds candy bars
  • 1/2 C. shortening
  • 1 C. plain flour
  • 1 C. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 C. chopped nuts

Melt candy bars and shortening. Remove from heat. Add remaining ingredients and blend well. Spread in greased 9-inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. While warm, cut into bars.
