  • 2 C. white flour
  • 2 Tbs. lard or butter
  • 1 C. buttermilk
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

When mixed this makes a gooey sticky mess, so handle it with flowered hands. Make it into small blobs of about baseball size and drop it into a greased baking pan. Bake for about 30 minutes more or less at 350 degrees. Test with a toothpick to see when it's done. Makes nice big fluffy biscuits.
