Mozzarella Patio Loaf
Ingredients
- French bread, unsliced
- 1 Tbs. prepared mustard
- 8 slices mozzarella cheese
- 1 Tbs. poppy seeds
- 1/2 C. butter, softened
- 3 slices cooked bacon, crumbled into small pieces
- 1/4 C. chopped onions
Directions
Heat oven to 400 degrees. Slice bread into 1-inch slices, cutting to but not through bottom of loaf. Place loaf on sheet of heavy-duty foil. Cut cheese into triangles and place between bread slices. In small bowl, combine butter, onions, mustard and poppy seeds. Spread over top of bread. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon. Bring foil up around sides, but not over the top. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted.
