Fried cheese is a beautiful thing and you can make these delicious mozzarella sticks in 15 short minutes. It doesn’t get better than that for Greasy Food Day!

  • ¼ cup flour
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 pound mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup Italian style breadcrumbs

Cut the mozzarella cheese into strips to begin. In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs and milk together. Coat each piece of cheese in flour, then the egg mixture, and then roll it in breadcrumbs. Dip the sticks in the egg mix and then the crumbs again. Freeze for 20 minutes. Heat oil in a skillet and cook the mozzarella sticks for about 1 minute on each side. Drain on paper towels and serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
