  • 2 slices of white bread
  • 2 cups of cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • ½ cup of sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic, minced
  • 1/8 teaspoon of thyme, dried
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Green onion, for garnish

As the bread toasts, melt the butter in a skillet over low heat. Add the mushrooms to the skillet and season with garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes, or until tender. Spoon about 1 cup of mushrooms on top of the toast and serve with a side of sunny side up eggs for a complete breakfast. Garnish with green onion. Enjoy!
