My Apple Pie
Ingredients
- 8-9 Macintosh apples
- 2 1/2-3 C. flour
- 1/2-1 C. sugar
- 1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
- 3 sticks margarine
- Dash salt
- Half & Half
Directions
Combine cream cheese, margarine, flour and salt and cream together using pie cutter. Roll out bottom crust, on a floured board. ( Iuse a pie disk). Sprinkle bottom of pie plate with flour. Place crust in pan and sprinkle bottom of crust with flour and sugar. Peel and core apples, slicing them into the pie crust. Sprinkle a bit of flour over the top of apples and a dab of butter or margarine. Add sugar on top of apples.Roll out top crust and pinch edes to seal. Be sure to make 3 slits in top crust to let steam out. Brush top crust with Half & Half and spray top with "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" spray. Bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees, then turn down to 350 degrees and bake for 1 hour or until crust is golden brown and apples are cooked. Cool and serve. You can also serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
