My Favorite Banana Nut Bread

Have any old bananas lying around? Don't throw them away! Mash 'em up with these ingredients to make a dense, delicious and nutty banana bread!

1 loaf


  • 2 1/2 C. flour
  • 1/3 C. milk
  • 1 1/4 C. mashed brown bananas
  • 3 tbs. vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 C. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 C. packed brown sugar
  • 3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 C. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix flour, milk and mashed bananas in a large bowl to a smooth batter. Add veg. oil, egg, sugars, baking powder and salt. Stir and mix until smooth. Add in 1 C. chopped nuts and mix until evenly distributed through batter. Pour into 9” loaf pan and bake for 65-70 minutes. If splitting batter into two smaller pans, bake for 40-45 minutes. When a toothpick inserted into loaf comes out clean, remove from oven and pan. Let cool completely before slicing. Enjoy!
