Nana's Anytime Ham Quiche

This is a tasty egg dish that can be eaten at any meal. At breakfast add some buttered biscuits and jelly, orange juice and you have a nice meal to get up to. Lunch time is great with a small bowl of cottage cheese, sliced tomatoes, again easy, and tasty. Supper add a salad, some garlic bread or bread of choice and you have a nice evening meal, quick to assemble and tasty to eat. My family loves this at any meal, even for brunch.

  • 1 prepared 9-inch pie shell
  • 6 lg. eggs
  • 1 C. cheddar, swiss or american cheese, (this is a personal taste choice)
  • 1 C. diced ham
  • 1 C. diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp. garlic
  • salt and pepper to taste.
  • 1/2 C. dried beans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees, then place dried beans in bottom of pie shell and bake for about 10-15 minutes. During this time assemble all other ingredients, preparing as directed. Put eggs in bowl and whisk until thoroughly mixed up. Take pie shell out of oven and let cool. Remove beans. Once cool, pour cups of cheese, ham and tomatoes into shell. Sprinkle garlic over these ingredients along with salt and pepper. Pour scrambled eggs over the above mentioned ingredients. Bake for approximately 30-45 minutes. Stick toothpick in center to check for doneness.
