Native American Cranberry Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 C. pure maple syrup
- 1/2 C. water
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 4 C. fresh cranberries
Directions
Bring syrup, water and ginger to boil in heavy 2 1/2-qt. saucepan over medium heat. Stir in cranberries. Simmer until berries begin to pop, about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Mash lightly. Turn into bowl and let cool. Cover and refigerate.
