Never Fail Fruit Cobbler

A quick, easy cobbler made with your favorite canned fruit for homemade taste any time.

Ingredients

  • 1 lg. can peaches, undrained (may substitute with any canned fruit)
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 C. milk
  • 1 C. sugar
  • 1 C. flour

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. While oven is heating, melt one stick of butter in an 11x19-inch baking pan in oven. In a large bowl, combine sugar and flour. Add milk. Stir until smooth. Pour over melted butter in pan. Spoon peaches over top of batter. Top with remaining juice. Bake at 350 until golden and bubbly. Serve warm with ice cream or your favorite topping.

  • I was just wondering about the pan size in this recipe...11x19 would serve more than 4-6 people UNLESS the servings were huge!! I HAVE this same recipe and it IS a good one but mine calls for a 9 or 10" square pan....just a thought....

  • This is a great, easy, quick recipe. I have used it for years, but I have always used self rising flour. When making this for two, you can halve the ingredients. If using fresh fruit, you will need to sweeten and pre-cook the fruit. You may also need to add a small amount of water to the fruit--enough to make the same amount of juice that you would have in canned fruit.
