Oat and Beef Rolls

Ingredients
- 2 Tbs. oil
- 2 onions
- 3/4 lb. ground beef
- 1 1/4 C. chopped walnuts
- 2/3 C. oats
- salt
- pepper
- pinch mace
- 1/2 C. sherry
- 6 hard rolls
- sprig watercress
Directions
Heat the oil in a skillet and sauté the onions for 2 minutes. Add the beef and brown for 5 minutes. Add the walnuts and oats. Stir and cook for 2 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and mace. Add the sherry and simmer for 20 minutes. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Cut the tops off the rolls and scoop out the soft insides. Save it for making breadcrumbs. Fill rolls with the beef and oat mixture. Put in the oven for 5 minutes and serve hot.
