  • 2 C. oatmeal, any type
  • 3/4 C. packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 C. margarine or butter, softened
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2/3 C. chopped nuts or raisins

Cut the margarine into the oatmeal, brown sugar, flour and salt until it becomes crumbly. Add the vanilla and nuts or raisins. Press the mixture into a 9" x 13" pan sprayed with non-stick spray. Bake in a preheated 350 degree F oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Do not Over-bake. Cool for 10 minutes and cut into squares.
