Ingredients

  • 2 lb. dried navy beans (4 C.), sorted, rinsed
  • 9 C. water
  • 2/3 C. packed brown sugar
  • 2/3 C. molasses
  • 1 Tbs. yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 lg. onion, chopped

Directions

In slow cooker, place beans and water. Cover; cook on High heat for 2 hours. Turn off heat; let stand 8 hours to 24 hours. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover; cook on Low heat 10 to 12 hours.
