Old Fashioned Banana Nut Bread

Ingredients

  • 5 bananas, ripened
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 C. flour
  • 3/4 C. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 C. coarsely chopped nuts (of your choice)
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a loaf pan.  Mix bananas and eggs together in a large bowl or a stand mixer with the paddle attachment. Stir in the flour sugar, salt, and baking soda. Add nuts and blend well. Place batter in loaf pan sprinkle some raw sugar and more nuts on the top of the batter. Bake 1 hour.

  • Sounds very close to the one my grandmother used, but her sugar was less for some reason. I'll try it let you know.
