  • 7 cups water
  • 2 ¼ cups dried split peas
  • 1 ham bone
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 ½ cups sliced carrots
  • Salt and pepper

Mix the water, peas, onion, celery, and carrots in the slow cooker. Add the ham and cook on low for 9 hours. Remove the ham from the slow cooker and pull the meat from the bones, discarding the bones and skin. Stir the ham back into the soup and serve.
