  • 2 C. of pumpkin puree
  • 1 ½ C. heavy cream
  • ½ C. dark brown sugar
  • 1/3 C. white sugar
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp. ground cloves
  • ¼ tsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp. nutmeg
  • ½ tsp. lemon zest
  • 1 piecrust

To start off, preheat your oven to 425 degrees. In a large bowl beat the eggs and mix in the brown sugar, white sugar, spices, salt, and lemon zest. After everything is mixed, combine the pumpkin puree and the heavy cream and mix it all up once more. The pie filling is ready to be poured into the piecrust. Pour the filling into the uncooked piecrust and let it bake for 15 minutes. Lower the heat to 350 degrees and let it bake for another 45-50 minutes. Let the pie cool for 40-45 minutes before serving. Serve with a dash of whip cream and enjoy!
