  • 3 C. flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp. white vinegar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 T. baking powder
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 lb. green beans

In a bowl, combine flour, salt, pepper, garlic, and cayenne. In a separate bowl, whisk egg, baking powder, vinegar, and a bit of water. Preheat oil in a deep fryer or large skillet until shimmering. Using tongs, dip green beans in egg, then coat in flour, once more in egg, and another coat of flour. Transfer to oil and fry until golden, about 3 to 5 minutes.
