One of all-time favorite recipes to bring to a party is baked brie. The melted cheese is just divine. It's an appetizer that takes little time to prepare and impresses everyone.

4-6 servings


  • 1/2 C. fresh basil leaves
  • 2 Tbs. toasted pecans or walnuts
  • 1 Tbs. olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled
  • 1/8 tsp. freshly ground pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 16 oz. Brie cheese

In bowl of food processor combine basil, cheese, nuts, oil, garlic and pepper. Process to form a fine paste. Season with salt. Scrape into a bowl, cover and refrigerate until ready. Bring to room temperature. Trim the white crust from the Brie and cover the top of the cheese with the herb mixture. Place Brie on a baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees oven for about 5 minutes until the cheese is beginning to melt. Transfer to serving plate and surround with crackers. Serve immediately.
