This banana break is fantastic and has a hint of orange taste.

  • 2 medium ripe bananas (peeled)
  • 1 C. flour
  • 3/4 C. chopped nuts
  • 1/3 C. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 C. oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbs. orange juice

Slice bananas into blender. Add egg, oil, vanilla, and orange juice. Blend well until smooth. In 9 inch square pan, stir flour, nuts, baking soda and salt with a fork. Add banana mixture and mix with fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 - 35 minutes.

  • I have the same comment. When and where do we add the sugar go? Anyway, I added it in the dry ingredients, but I think it should have been added with the wet ingredients to give it substance. I also did NOT like mixing everything in the 9" baking pan. I think it mixes better in a bowl. The cake was very good and moist, I eliminated the nuts and added raisins. I also added a ripe nectarine with the bananas....yum.

  • Made this cake today and we love it. Very easy to put together.I added the sugar with the dry ingredients since the recipe dosen't say.
