Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Rinse pork chops and pat dry with paper towel. Salt & pepper each side. Empty both cans of mushroom soup into medium bowl. Coat pork chops with soup and put in 9x13-inch baking dish. Drain potatoes and peas and mix into soup. Spread over pork chops. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour (pork chops should measure 160 degrees with meat thermometer.) Remove from oven and let sit for 10-15 minutes so mushroom sauce will thicken. Serve with French bread and a salad.

  • I've made many one-pot meals like this. This one is very good, as is the Chicken and Rice. I've made this pork chop recipe with canned pork & beans too, and added ingredients, with great success!!

  • Rayna3, as it does not say to cover the dish, I think it's best that you leave it uncovered. Happy cooking!

  • Question: Do you cover the dish while baking or not? I'm anxious to try this soon. Sounds good!

  • Easiest meal I can imagine and a life saver for young folks that have not learned to cook yet. Even better if you can manage to slice fresh potatoes. And no real need to add salt, when the soup should already have a sufficient amount. A real life saver recipe.
