  • 1 medium sweet onion, minced
  • 1 green onion, minced
  • 9 Tbs. margarine or butter, cold
  • 1 C. cold milk
  • 3 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 Tbs. baking powder

Directions

Mix flour, the baking powder, salt and pepper together. With a pastry blender or a fork, cut in the margarine or butter until it resembles course meal or crumbs. Add the milk/onion mixture till it's just mixed and forms a dough. Place on a floured board and knead 10 times gently. Roll dough 3/4 inch thick and cut into 1 1/2 inch rounds or squares. Brush melted butter or margarine on top of biscuits. Bake about 18 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.
