Onion Rice

This recipe is a family favorite that's easy to make and wonderful with chicken or turkey. I have been serving this since 1964.

  • 1 2/3 C. converted rice
  • 1 can French onion soup (i.e. Campbell's)
  • 1 can beef consomme with gelatin (i.e. Campbell's)
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 sm. jar button mushrooms, drained

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Put all ingredients into a 2-qt. casserole with cover. Stir and cover. Place into oven for 1 hour
