  • 1 T. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 white onion
  • 1 red onion
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 2 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 T. worcestershire sauce
  • 1 T. parsley
  • 1 T. sage
  • ½ T. thyme
  • 1 egg
  • ½ C. bread crumbs
  • 2 C. all purpose flour
  • 1 C. rice flour
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 2 ½ C. beer
  • 2 C. canola or vegetable oil

Mix the ground turkey with worcestershire sauce, parsley, sage, thyme, one egg, bread crumbs and salt. Make balls of turkey burger with the meat. In the center of flatten out the burger and place a tablespoon of onions in the center of each, folding the meat around the onions to ensure the onions are completely engulfed.

Place the burgers in the onion pan and cook until the turkey browns.

Next create a batter using the remaining egg, one cup all purpose flour, rice flour, pepper and beer. Whisk until most lumps are gone. Dip the burgers into remaining plain flour then the batter.

Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil until it starts to steam. Fry battered patties for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack. Add your favorite burger toppings to the fired patty and enjoy.
