Opal's Swiss Steak
Ingredients
- 2 lbs. round steak
- Shortening for browning
- 1 C. chopped green pepper
- 1/2 C. chopped onion
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 C. tomato sauce
Directions
Brown steak in a large skillet using a small amount of shortening. Add green pepper and onion and season with salt and pepper. Pour enough sauce over steak to cover it. Reduce heat to simmer, cover Container, and cook slowly for 1 hour.
