  • 1/2 cup chili powder
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 2 tablespoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground dried chipotle pepper
  • 1 rack baby back pork ribs
  • 2 bottles of barbeque sauce

Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.
Combine white and brown sugar, chili powder, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, cumin, dry mustard, cayenne pepper, and chipotle pepper in a small bowl and mix all ingredients together.
Place ribs meat-side down on aluminum foil. Poke the back of rib rack several times with a knife of a fork.
Apply the dry rub on the rib rack with at least 2 layers.
To create a tight seal for the rib rack, fold the ends of the aluminum foil. Once folded, transfer to sheet pan.
Bake in oven for about 2 hours or until meat is tender and fully cooked. Let cool for 10-15 minutes.
Increase oven temperature to 350 degrees F.
Open foil to drain any access juices and get rid of unwanted fat. Then, with the cooking brush apply barbeque sauce to the rib rack.
Place rack meat-side up and return to oven with the foil open for about 10 minutes. Remove from oven and apply another layer. Repeat one more time. Let cool and serve.
Cut rack into individual rib segments and serve with more barbeque sauce.
