Parmesan Broccoli

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. broccoli
  • salt
  • 3 Tbs. butter
  • black pepper
  • 1/2 C. grated parmesan

Directions

Cut broccoli into large florets, then trim off stem ends. Peel of tough skin of broccoli, and cut thick stems crosswise into 1/4-inch slices. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add broccoli and salt to taste. Cook the broccoli for 5 minutes. Drain and cool under cold water. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Butter a baking dish. Arrange the spears in the dish, overlapping them slightly. Dot with butter and sprinkle them with pepper. Sprinkle cheese on top. Bake for 10 minutes, or until cheese is slightly melted. Serve.
