This summertime salad is a favorite for barbeques!

Ingredients

  • 3 cans baby peas
  • 4 whole pickles
  • 3/4 sm. box of Velveeta cheese
  • 1/2 sm. white onion
  • 1 C. mayonnaise
  • 1 C. Miracle Whip
  • 1/2 C. milk
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Drain peas and start chopping you pickles, white onion & Velveeta cheese. Once chopped, add peas, onion, pickles, and cheese to a large mixing bowl. In a separate bowl add mayonnaise, Miracle Whip and milk together, and mix until no longer lumpy. Add mayonnaise mixture to pea mixture and let sit for a couple on hours before serving.

  • This recipe is good, however I liked it better with mild shredded cheddar cheese. That's the way I learned to make it when I lived in Texas.
